Why does my nose feel sore after using the P30i?Updated 2 months ago

Nasal soreness is often due to excessive pressure on the nostrils from nasal pillows that are too tight or the wrong size. If you experience discomfort, try switching to a smaller pillow size to reduce pressure on your nostrils.

Additionally, applying a CPAP-friendly moisturizer before bed can help minimize friction and prevent dryness. If your headgear is too tight, loosening it slightly may help relieve pressure while still maintaining a secure fit.

Over time, as your nose adjusts to the mask, any initial soreness should subside, but if the issue continues, you may want to consider switching to a nasal cradle mask like the ResMed AirFit N30i, which rests under the nose instead of inserting into the nostrils. The N30i also comes in a soft fabric nasal option, which may further decrease soreness.
